An open letter to The President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, written by the Vice Chancellor of the International Qur'anic Open University.

Honorable Syed Hussein Barack Obama
President of the United States of America
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Dear President Obama,

First, I would like to convey my deepest appreciation for your most profound speech delivered in Cairo, Egypt. You delivered it with an open heart, and it has served to remove all doubts with regard to a “clash of civilizations” between Muslims and Christians. I applaud you. I congratulate you. The Islamic world and all people of goodwill can now breathe a collective sigh of relief.

We appeal to you in the name of the Almighty God, and on behalf of the Holy Last Messenger, Prophet Muhammad, (peace be upon him), and on behalf of Jesus, son of the Chaste Mary (peace be upon them both), to exercise the power given you by the Almighty Creator to use the resources available to you to bring about the cessation of the bombing and the killing of innocent women and children in the Swat valley. This is an atrocity, absolutely wrong, and if it continues the resulting damage will affect, not only Pakistan, but the entire world.

We ask you to bring the necessary pressure to bear, to isolate and defeat the terrorists, and once there is some agreement made, that you insist upon the military shutting down its entire operation, an operation in which millions of people have been displaced, all for four thousand terrorists. We roundly condemn the actions of the Taliban and while we are not inimical to the military operation in and of itself, we must disagree with the method and approach that the military has taken.

We, too, are working hard giving information and are helping the displaced innocent civilians that are without food, clothing and shelter. There are mothers whom are forced to deliver their babies with no medical attention. Diseases are spreading. Schools have been damaged, buildings wrecked, crops lost. Still, we urge the people of Swat to return to their homes and not allow themselves to be so uprooted and their lives so disrupted by these terrorist insurgents. The preservation of the property, and livelihood, of the people of the Swat valley, both for the present and for the future of their children, is highly dependent on their own determination to stand firm, in place, defending their own.

I appeal to you, once more, to render whatever assistance that our resources can support to further this cause. Your help is earnestly needed, from the humanitarian standpoint, firstly, and then, also, for the strategic importance for the world that bringing justice to these people can bring about.
It is incumbent upon me to tell you that Almighty God has sent me with signs, showing miracle after miracle, which have been verified by Muslims, Christians and other denominations alike at the Holy Shrines in South Carolina and New York, where the names of God Almighty, and that of His Beloved Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him), have been seen shining for all to see. Every Ramadan people from all walks of life bear witness to this, as well as at other times in the year. Now, in turn, Allah has given you power, and has blessed you with a clear mind, deep perception and wisdom.

The time has come when, soon, the coming of Imam Mahdi will be announced, perhaps in no more than 10 years. Jesus, son of Mary, is also soon due to return. He will bring together Islam and Christianity. It is for this reason that we have formed the United Muslim Christian Forum, and have been working hard towards the coming together of the faiths. We trust you will also lower your wing to the American Muslims in their sincere efforts to bring about the unity of the followers of our great Abrahamic faiths.

With the power that has been invested in you, it is your obligation to look not only to the interests of America and Americans, however. Rather, you have the weighty responsibility to protect humanity at large. You must do what is within your power to rescue mankind from oppression.

The peoples of the world do not hate Americans, per se. It is the mercenary operations like Blackwater, that under the cloak of good, so mercilessly and ruthlessly destroy the lives of people that inevitably create hatred and aversion when things American are mentioned. Please pay heed to the words of this humble servant.

We are both from the household of the same family: the family of our beloved Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him). We share the same name, Mubarak, and are a part of the same family. Allah loves you. WE love you. I love you.

Note: Syed is a term referring to the family and descendants of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him); the name Barack was derived from the Arabic name, Mubarak, also spelled Mubarik.
