3rd Annual Eid Milad un Nabi Parade
Tuesday, 09 March 2010 13:18
The United Muslim Christian Forum is thrilled to announce its 3rd Annual Eid un Milad un Nabi (saw) Parade and Commemoration celebrating the birth of the Prophet of Islam, the Holy Last Messenger, Hazrat Muhammad and the Majesty of Jesus born of the Chaste Mary (Peace be upon them all).
On Sunday, the 14th of March 2010, Muslims, Christians and members of a number of various faith groups will gather on the Courthouse lawn of upstate Binghamton, New York, located at the intersection of Court and Exchange Streets, at 2PM in the afternoon.
This much anticipated and herald occasion has become a milestone for promoting World Peace, the encouragement of interfaith cooperation and dialogue and strikes a severe blow to the troubling vestiges of religious bias, racial hatred and social phobias that still haunt our global society.
The procession will follow a route from the intersection north on Main Street to Water Street and then a right turn to the Binghamton Regency Hotel. Once there participates will be addressed by distinguished speakers from amongst members of the clergy, elected public officials and members of academia with words of enlightenment and inspiration.
Following their presentations all are invited to partake in exotic refreshments and snacks which affords all the opportunity to network and exchange ideas and reflection.
